Food Goals : My first Thai Pink Milk from "Cha Tuk Chak"

If you have watched one or two Thai dramas recently, I'm pretty sure you already have an idea why the Thai Pink Milk is quite popular among fans. The Nom Yen or Thai Iced Pink Milk (นมเย็น) has been featured in a lot of Thai drama series, and I found out about it after watching my first Thai series, the teen coming-of-age romcom "SOTUS: The Series".

Arthit (top) and Kongpob (bottom)
of the Thai drama "SOTUS: the series"

In one of the episodes of the series, one of the main characters,  Kongpob "Kong" Suthiluck (played by "Singto" Prachaya Ruangroj) discovered that his senior, Arthit "Arthit" Rojnapat (played by "Krist" Perawat Sangpotirat) who was known to be strict and always serious, was fond of drinking Pink Milk, revealing his softer side. This is why Arthit's character was tagged as the Pink Milk Monster by fans of the series. Since then, I've been enticed to try it.

Fortunately, you don't need to go to Thailand just to taste the Thai Pink Milk Tea. Because there is a place where you can enjoy Arthit's secret drink and other Thai drinks, right in the heart of the city.
CHA TUK CHAK is a Thai tea and coffee hub located at 46 East Capitol Drive, Kapitolyo, Pasig. It was opened just this March 2017 but has already gained lots of customers, particularly fans of Thai dramas. They offer different Thai tea and coffee drinks  but since it's my first time here, I decided to order their Pink Milk Tea.

Their Pink Milk Tea is priced at P130 (regular) and P160 (large). You can make it more special by adding Dolce pearls or Strawberry bombs for just P20. The one that I tried was their strawberry bombs.

Their tea and coffee hub is actually just one of the three stores there which were built as a single establishment. There's a restaurant offering Asian dishes on the left of the hub and a bar on the second floor of the establishment. They host events on the second floor, including a get together event organized by fans of the series SOTUS. Unfortunately, the restaurant and bar is closed during Mondays (which is my rest day) so only their tea and coffee hub was open when I got there. They're open from 11 am to 1 am, depending on the flow of customers. I recommend going to their place from Tuesdays to Sundays so that you can also try some Thai dishes. Their restaurant offers Thai breakfast foods and the famous Pad Thai noodles which will complete your Thai experience.

Honestly, it was a bit hard to find if you're not familiar with the area. It was my first time going to Kapitolyo, Pasig City and I had a hard time finding their street. I actually got lost and ended up in the Pasig Market. But that was my fault because I didn't asked for directions from the people at the terminal. Their place was along a street which also have various food establishments, similar to Maginhawa street.
Their place was actually really nice. They have a small space but the ambiance inside was really cozy and relaxing. It's a great place to hangout with your friends, family or special ones. No wonder customers kept coming back to their store. They even told me that a second branch is about to open this year, but the location is still a secret.

And of course, their Pink Milk Tea was amazing. As of now, they are the only establishment here in the Metro (I guess maybe in the country too) who's offering this drink that's why fans are really flocking their place from different parts of the city. I really loved the creamy taste of the drink, which was made more special by the strawberry bombs that I added. They explode in your mouth with tanginess and sweetness at the same time. For me, it was definitely worth it.

My rating for Cha Tuk Chak's Pink Milk Tea : ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/ 5 Stars
